Luis has worked on and off camera, not only reporting the news and weather, but also providing new technical solutions, including improvements in production processes for AccuWeather’s weather broadcasts. Luis earned his degree from Penn State University’s College of Communications. While at Penn State, he focused on effective broadcasting strategies and developed skills essential to present weather information and updates most effectively.
Passionate about weather, Luis is intrigued daily by the ever-changing nature and impacts of weather. Luis is most interested in hurricanes and is devoted to delivering weather forecasts that make people aware and allow them to prepare before severe weather strikes.
When he is not broadcasting, Luis enjoys playing soccer and tennis. He is also a travel enthusiast and likes to spend time with family and friends. A native of Venezuela, Luis moved to Northern Virginia when he was 14 years old.
