Chenea' Schacher, On-Air Broadcaster

Experienced field reporter and broadcaster and weather enthusiast Chenea’ Schacher is an On-Air Broadcaster at AccuWeather.

In her role, Chenea’ delivers critical weather forecasts worldwide that affect the lives of millions.

Chenea’ has demonstrated experience in front of and behind the camera as both a producer and on-air broadcaster.  Prior to joining AccuWeather, Chenea’ was an in-field reporter for KPNX-TV in Arizona.  During her collegiate studies, Chenea' participated in the Dow Jones News Fund program focusing on digital media journalism.  Her reporting was featured on multiple platforms in the Phoenix, AZ market, as well as published by the Millwaukee Journal Sentinal.  Chenea’ joined AccuWeather as a producer, overseeing the production of breaking weather news and information videos and subsequently joined AccuWeather’s on-air broadcast team full-time.  Chenea’ earned her Bachelors degree from Arizona State University's Walter Cronkite School of Journalism in Journalism and Mass Communication with a focus on Meteorology.   

At an early age, Chenea’ was interested in Journalism and intrigued by the force of weather phenomena.  Chenea’s interest in weather forecasting piqued during her internship at FOX 10 Phoenix.  The depth of knowledge and necessary skill required by meteorologists to forecast the weather astonished her.  With her passion for the weather and helping others, she is committed to delivering the most accurate, most trusted weather forecasts to AccuWeather viewers every day.

In her spare time, Chenea’ enjoys working out and learning about nutrition and healthy lifestyles.  She also enjoys spending time with her husband and is actively involved in a college program where she mentors other women.
