Adam Del Rosso, Senior On-Air Meteorologist

Blizzards, tornado outbreaks, major flooding, hurricanes, and even space weather  -- AccuWeather senior meteorologist Adam Del Rosso has covered just about everything Mother Nature can throw at us. His passion for meteorology starting at a young age growing up in Pittsburgh, PA. Instead of being scared of the severe storms that would roll through his hometown, he wanted to learn everything about them. That curiosity about our atmosphere would lead him to earn his Bachelors of Science degree in Meteorology from Penn State University.

Adam is a Certified Broadcast Meteorologist with nearly a decade of experience forecasting for various parts of the country. His career has taken him to the Ohio Valley where he was a meteorologist and reporter for WTOV-TV in Steubenville, Ohio and Wheeling, WV. From there, Adam moved to Central Illinois working for WAND-TV in Decatur-Springfield-Champaign. During his time in the Midwest, Adam covered countless severe storms and gave life-saving information most notably during Illinois’ largest December tornado outbreak when an EF-3 tore through Taylorville, IL. He also took an interest in learning about agriculture and the critical role weather plays, helping to develop a farmer-specific forecast each week.

In his free time, you can usually find Adam on the tennis or volleyball courts. If he isn’t playing, then he’s busy rooting on his favorite teams from Pittsburgh or Penn State.

Adam is excited to work with the team of experts at AccuWeather bringing you the latest forecast, helping to keep you and your family safe.
