He has also been featured in many other television programs, including several on the National Geographic Channel and other major cable networks.  Tony has personally seen and documented more than 300 tornadoes since beginning his storm chasing journey back in 1997, including several twisters during the Super Outbreak of 2011 in the southeast US and the largest tornado ever recorded in 2013 near El Reno, Oklahoma.

Tony was raised in Circleville, Ohio, and went to college in Colorado where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Meteorology and Technical Communications at Metropolitan State University of Denver, later earning a Master of Science in Professional Media and Media Management at Southern Illinois University in Carbondale.
